Administrative Assistant for Player Personnel – Christine Jacobs

Christine JacobsMany of the Raider’s volunteers have been with the club for a good number of years. Christine Jacobs, however, is starting out her rookie season and she couldn’t be happier.

“I’m excited,” Christine said. Carol Clark, player personnel manager, recruited Christine through her parents.

“I thought I was just going to pass out water to the players at practice and during the game,” Jacobs said. “But it got to be more than just that.”

Jacobs’ title is Administrative Assistant for Player Personnel. In other words, she will be helping Clark in her duties.

“I will be helping Carol with things like checking in the players when they come to practice and for the games, and helping with other paperwork things,” she said. She was quick to add, “I’ll still be passing out water.”

A 2015 Park High School graduate, and looking to get into the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, its not that uncommon for the 19-year-old to take the time and volunteer.

“I like volunteering. I like it a lot to be able to help out,” she said. “So far, it’s not a lot of work, yet.”

The Raiders aren’t new to Jacobs. She has been coming to Raiders games for the past four years. She said she would sit in the stands and watch the games, but never thought she would be involved with the team.

When asked what she thought was the best part of volunteering with the Raiders, Jacobs was quick with the answer.

“The people here,” she says. “Everyone is nice and helpful.” She adds, “The players are nice and friendly too. But some of them are a little goofy.”

As a rookie volunteer, how would Jacobs respond to anyone asking her about volunteering with the Raiders?

“Go for it,” she answered without hesitation.
