Defensive Back Steve Kleist

Racine Raiders defensive back Steve KleistSteve Kleist has been with the Racine Raiders for six years as a defensive back. He was introduced to the Raiders by a friend that played with the organization and won a national championship ring in 2001. His friend told him that this was the best organization around. The rest is history. Steve has been causing havoc on the defense ever since.

Steve feels that the Raiders organization is unique for several reasons, including being how established and well run the Raiders are. He’s also impressed with how the Raiders can draw talent from people all over Wisconsin and our surrounding states, as far north as Green Bay and as far south as Chicago. Year after year, the Raiders bring in so many players that can fill two rosters. Which is why Steve feels there is success here.

Coming to fill our stands and cheer Steve on each game are his daughter, father, mother, brothers, sister, friends, and co-workers. Steve talks about how much his daughter loves going to the games and brings friends with her too.

He enjoys seeing a customer happy at the end of a project with their newly remodeled home.

He takes his clients from a thought or idea that they have in their mind, puts it on paper, and then builds it for them. Taking the idea and making it a reality is very rewarding to Steve.

Steve hopes there are more Raiders championships in his future and is committed to trying to make that possible.

During the summer, you can find Steve around any type of water, whether it’s fishing, tubing,
wakeboarding, flyboarding, or just floating around. In the winter, Steve enjoys snowboarding.

Steve has been playing football since the fourth grade and doesn’t see it changing anytime soon.
