MSFL Update on 2020 League Season

2020 MSFL LogoThe MidStates Football League Executive Committee has been having regular conference calls to discuss the 2020 MSFL season and how it relates to the COVID-19 pandemic. The season was to initially start on June 13 but was pushed back to a July 11 start. With many school districts not allowing anyone on their fields or facilities until August 1, the Executive Committee decided to move the start date for the 2020 MSFL season to August 8 with two push-back dates of August 15 and August 22, in the event we can’t start on August 8 or 15. If the league can’t start by August 22, the season will be suspended until 2021.

With all of the uncertainty of the COVID-19 virus, we don’t know if games will be played with or without fans in attendance. The decision will be made at a later date as well as any other decisions in accordance and compliance with any and all local and state health and governmental regulations.

The MidStates Football League’s first priority is the safety of its players, coaches, support staffs, fans, and members of the communities in which we operate. Thank you for supporting your MSFL member teams.

Please stay safe and God bless.
