Offensive Lineman Chris Edwards

Chris EdwardsChris Edwards (#62) has been a member of the Racine Raiders for five years. He returns again this year as the starting left tackle.

The left tackle position is one of the most difficult jobs on the field. Not only does a left tackle need to be strong and fast, but they must also have superb blocking skills. Recognizing this, the Raiders are happy to have Chris return for a sixth season.

He really enjoys playing for the Raiders and loves the fun, family atmosphere at Historic Horlick Field. Chris’ whole family comes to watch him play each game, from his parents and siblings to his own children and wife, Tracy. His favorite pregame ritual is fishing with his brother on Saturday mornings.

Chris is a veteran, having served our country in the United States Army. He said the Army changed everything about him and wishes everyone could go through it. It taught him a better work ethic and that no project is too big or too small to complete.

Chris married his grade school sweetheart in Tracy, and is a proud father to Katy (9) and Jason (5). His dog’s name is Bear and she goes everywhere with him. His family volunteers at their church the first Saturday of every month for a food and clothing drive. Giving back to the community is important to Chris, his family, and the Racine Raiders.

He loves to do custom design work. From metal fabricating to leather-tooling to woodworking, Chris is all hands on. Almost all the furniture in his home is handmade and he transformed his garage into a shop, even hand-turning Christmas ornaments on his lathe during the winter.
For past decade, Chris has been in construction and mainly cuts concrete with 66” blades all day. Your typical Wisconsin guy, Chris loves his Friday fish fry and Packers Sundays.
