Offensive Lineman – Wilton Jones III

Wilton Jones playing against the Muskego Hitmen.Wilton Jones III has been with the Racine Raiders for the past eight years. Playing across the offensive line, although primarily at left guard, Wilton provides that hard-hitting protection our quarterbacks have learned to rely on.

Playing for an opposing team in the Northern Elite Football League, the Milwaukee Marauders, Wilton recognized what a unique organization the Racine Raiders were and decided to try out. The rest is history as Wilton has been with the Raiders ever since.

He enjoys playing for the Raiders because he knows they are the best organization in the nation. Because of the great support system, staff and community, the Racine Raiders offer a peace of mind for Wilton. He feels that the organization leaves him with nothing to worry about except playing the game. He doesn’t need to pay to play and the organization is there to support him, even if injured.

For the past eight years, Wilton has worked at FIS as a Physical Security Senior Officer. FIS is the world’s largest global provider dedicated to banking and payments technologies.

Wilton Jones protects Anthony Johnson. One of Wilton’s dreams as a kid was to one day become a professional wrestler — can you imagine?

On game day, if Wilton isn’t working, he spends his pregame time playing Black Ops and doing laundry, keeping his mind clear and ready to focus on the game at hand.

Wilton’s favorite kind of music is rock or hardcore rap, both getting him ready to hold back the opposing defense and protect his teammates.

It’s hard to get more than a few words out of Wilton at any given time, but once he knows you, he will share a little more. When I asked Wilton what he wanted people to know about him, he responded, “I’m a teddy bear. I like long walks on the beach and I enjoy Barry Manilow,” followed by a hearty laugh.
