MINOR LEAGUE/ARENA/PRO: This
is Matt's 12th year with the Racine Raiders.
He also played two years for the Madison Mad
Dogs of the Indoor Professional Football League
(IPFL). He was voted Rookie of the Year
by fellow teammates in 1996 and Offensive
Captain in 2006. Matt has been All-Conference
six times and an All-American four times in
his career with the Raiders.
COLLEGE Matt was a four
year letter winner at Carthage College in Kenosha,
Wisconsin. He started every game while in college
and was named an All- American his senior year.
Matt played in the All-American Bowl in 1996.
HIGH SCHOOL: Matt lettered
in football, basketball, track and baseball while
attending Waukesha South High School in Waukesha,
Wisconsin.
PROFESSIONAL: Matt owns
ALDOR Property Management, Inc. based in Waukesha,
Wisconsin. He is the Offensive Line and Junior
Varsity Coach for the Bay View Redcats, which longtime
Raider Gary Griffin coaches. He has also
helped out with coaching the offensive line for
the Burlington Blue Devils of the Ironman Football
League (IFL) this season. Matt formerly was
head coach of the Waukesha Devils of the IFL for
three seasons and he was named Coach of the Year
in 2002.
PERSONAL: Matt is
married to Becky and they own a female dog
named George. In 2006, Matt donated his hair
to Locks of Love to help children with cancer
get wigs so they can feel better about themselves.
Matt dedicated the 2006 season to his brother
Andy. Andy was diagnosed with Kidney
Cancer in February2006. He was able to do
the coin flip at the first game of the season
and it was one of his biggest thrills. He
could not believe that a fan like himself
would be able to do the coin flip for the
Raiders.
OTHER: Matt would like
to personally thank the Raider organization, its
coaches, players, and fans for all of their support
that they have given to him and his family this
season. Matt thanks his family for coming to all
his games during the years; they have always been
his support and his rock. He would also like to
thank his wife for letting him play another season.
