Racine Raiders Offer Four Scholarships in 2020

The Racine Raiders are offering four, $500, non-renewable scholarships to high school seniors graduating this June from any of the ten Racine County high schools.

“We are pleased to offer these scholarships again this year,” said Tom Christensen, the Raiders Scholarship Committee chairman. “It’s a way for us to give back to the area that has supported us for over 60 years.”

To apply, potential recipients must meet the following criteria:

  • Achieve a minimum of a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • Provide a letter of application and a copy of their high school transcript
  • Involved in an athletic activity (including cheer, dance, stunt, or pom teams) as a player, manager, or coach, either at their school or in organized community youth athletic activities

The application letter should include:

  • Your goals for college or technical college, including your intended major.
  • How your studies will apply to life after college.
  • Your interests – both in and out of school.
  • Your involvement in athletics.
  • Why you need or deserve one of these scholarships.

All applications must be postmarked no later than May 1, 2020. Recipients will be notified by mail and presented their award during halftime at a 2020 Racine Raiders home game.
