Racine Raiders will hold final tryout on April 13

Racine Raiders tryout posterThe Racine Raiders will hold the team’s third and final tryout for the 2014 season on Sunday, April 13, 2014, at Art Keller Field on the Carthage College campus in Kenosha, Wis. The tryout will go from 10 a.m. to noon. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. The tryout is free.

This is an outdoor tryout and Art Keller Field is the newer turf style. Players should also bring a helmet.

The Racine Raiders begin their 62nd season of operation and have won eight national championships. The team’s last national championship came in 2012. The Raiders returned to a national title game last season but fell to the Albany Metro Mallers out of New York state.

Players are treated to free post-game meals following each home game, receive tickets to games and get to play in front of an average of over 2,000 fans! In addition, players are covered by worker’s compensation insurance, paid for by the team. The team also broadcasts all of their games on WRJN 1400 AM and online.
