Raiders Announce Full 2018 Schedule

Racine Raiders 2018 Schedule(ed. note: Originally, the Raiders had a May 19 game at the Chi City Ducks. When the MidStates Football League schedule was announced, the league’s week one games featured a game between the Raiders and Ducks in Chicago so the two teams mutually decided to cancel the May 19 game.)

The Racine Raiders 2018 season will feature six home games and six road games with the team making four trips to the Chicago-area and a trip to Door County for the fourth consecutive season. The slate of home games features tough competition including games against the defending MidStates Football League (MSFL) champion Wisconsin Hitmen, perennial powerhouse Rockton Rush, and the Rock County Rage, new members of the MSFL that won the Iron Athletes Football League last season. The home season also features league games against the Leyden Lions and Quad Cities Raiders along with a non-league tilt with the powerhouse Muskegon Mustangs.

While the team’s home schedule is tough, the road schedule is at least as difficult and features a season-opener against the MSFL runners-up Chi City Ducks. The Raiders also travel to play perennial powers in the Lincoln-Way Patriots, Chicago Chaos, and Door County Destroyers. The Raiders will also play a league game against the Milwaukee County Chargers and a non-league game against the Kenosha Cougars.

The Raiders will again hold some specialty nights. The June 23 game against the Hitmen is Educator’s Appreciation Night where the team will award five, $500 scholarships to seniors graduating from a Racine County high school and continuing their education. The team will honor our Armed Forces on Armed Forces Appreciation Night on July 7 against the Muskegon Mustangs. July 14 against the Rockton Rush will be First Responders Night. The annual Alumni Night will take place on August 4 against the Rock County Rage. August 11 will be the annual Youth Football Camp where the attendees will be honored at halftime of the game against the Quad Cities Raiders.

The team will release more details about the 2018 season and when tickets will be available in the near future. All home games are played at Historic Horlick Athletic Field in Racine and kickoff is at 7 p.m. Tailgating is available in the parking lots around the field.
