The parade will start at 9 a.m. at Goold and Main Streets. The Racine Fourth of July Parade is one of the largest parades in the country and was named one of the ten great places to spend the holiday by USA Today in 2008.

Besides Nelson as the Honorary Grand Marshal, the Racine Raiders Alumni and the Racine Raiders will be in the parade. Britani D’Alie, wife of Raiders wide receiver Sam D’Alie, will be in the parade as Mrs. Wisconsin, going just in front of Nelson and the Raiders alumni and Raiders team.

Other entries in the parade include University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Badger Band, the Wiener Mobile, and the Iwo Jima Float, which debuted in the parade in 1946. The full list of parade participants is available on the Fourth Fest of Greater Racine website. If you’re new to the Racine parade, they also offer a beginner’s guide on their website.

In addition to the Racine parade, several members of the Racine Raiders will be walking in the Union Grove parade this year.
